2025-2026 Volunteer Positions 

Whether you're a seasoned booster club veteran or looking to get involved for the first time, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds. If you have prior experience, your insights will be invaluable as we strive to enhance our support for the basketball program. For those new to the role, fear not 😀 – we offer hands-on training opportunities alongside our current board and committee members.

We have many volunteer opportunities this season that need to be filled in order to help our season run smoothly. The highlighted areas indicate our current needs: 

• Concessions

  • Chairperson: Oversees all aspects of concession sales, including ordering and picking up supplies (usually from Sam's Club), stocking the concessions, opening and closing concessions for the volunteers, and coordinating with the hot food vendor.

  • Members: All parents are required to work 2 concessions shifts during the season. Concessions Sign-up Genius link coming soon!

• Corporate Sponsorships

  • Chairperson: Leads efforts to secure corporate sponsorships for the basketball program, collects sponsorship funds, creates a slideshow of sponsorship logos to send to the coach for home games, and sends thank-you letters/receipts at the end of the season.

  • Members: Assist the chairperson in identifying potential sponsors and maintaining relationships with them.

• Livestream Committee: 

  • Responsibilities: Set up and manage livestreaming (via our Facebook page) of basketball games for fans unable to attend in person.

• Banners:

  • Schedule the media day with Photo Texas and the coach, assist players/parents in selecting banner photos, and coordinate the delivery and hanging of the banners in the gym. 

• Game Day Meals:

  • Chairperson: Coordinates the ordering of game day meals, communicates with restaurants to obtain pricing, creates choice sheets for players, and arranges pick-up and delivery schedules with parent volunteers 

  • Volunteers: Assist in picking up and delivering the meals.

• Photography:  take photos and upload to team SmugMug account immediately after the games.

• Homecoming Parade:

  • Chair: Organizes the participation of the basketball team in the school's homecoming parade, including float decoration and team representation.

  • Members: Assist the chairperson in float decoration.

• Senior Gift:

  • Coordinator: Collect funds from parents to purchase a senior gift for graduating seniors at the end of the season.

• Senior Night:

  • Coordinator: Arrange special recognition activities (e.g., slideshow), and organize decorations (balloons/photo wall) for senior night.

• Service Projects:

  • Coordinator: Work with coach to plan and execute community service initiatives involving the basketball team.

• Home Game Announcer:

  • Volunteer: Serve as the MC, responsible for announcing player introductions, game updates, and halftime entertainment. Help keep the crowd informed and energized, creating an engaging atmosphere during the event. 

• Newsletter:

  • Volunteer: Send out weekly newsletter to parents to keep them informed of Booster Club happenings.

• Spirit Wear:

  • Coordinator: Organize and manage the selection, ordering, and distribution of spirit wear and spirit items.

• Future Vipers Night:

  • Coordinator: Coordinate with Neighborhood sports teams and elementary schools to participate in pregame and half-time activities during January 7th game.

  • Volunteers: Work with the coordinator to greet the kids and help keep them organized.

• Banquet Committee

  • Chairperson: Oversee the planning and organization of the end-of-season banquet.

  • Members: Assist the chairperson in coordinating venue, catering, invitations, decorations, awards, and any entertainment for the banquet.
